Chapter one : what is Diabetes?

It Is a chronic illness it affects all our system and make them week

In this disease affected person's pancrease does not make enough insulin.

So what is inside a human body??

A human body consists of different organs and organ system that  function toether to keep us alive and healthy e.g. brain and nervous system, Eyes, Heart and blood vessels system,. Lungs and respiratory system,  kidneys and genitourinary system , liver , gall bladder, pancrease and gastro intesinal system .To function thees organs and systems properly our body needs a fuel in the form of glucose.

So from where we get this fuel glucose??

Glucose comes from food we eat. All eaten food is broken in to smaller units inside our intestine or food pipe.  we call it glucose and this glucose is absobed inside our blood vesels system and through this system this glucose is taken to various organs like brain, eyes, heart kidneys, Genitourinary system, skin , etc and provide them fule to function just like your car needs petrol or similar things to function. But this is not that easy. All thses organs have a lock system only when thses locks are opened , glucose can enter inside these organs.

So where is this key to open this lock system of different organs?

In our body this key is kown as insulin . So what is insulin from where it come??

Insulin is an life saver hormones produced by a gland in our body known as pancreas. This gland is situated near our GIT system. This insulin picks all the glucose present inside your  blood vessels system. And opens the doors of all the organs and delivers it to all the mentioned organs inside our body and thus provides fuel to all thses organs in the form of glucose. Or in other word this insulin helps our body to utilize glucose for proper functioning of our organs.

So what happens if this thing is not inside your body??

It is similar to condition in your routine life for example you have ordered a food item and you are not opening your doors that means your food item will not be delivered to you and will be eventually wasted.and what about you?? You will start getting sick because of startvation and eventually you will die!

Same thing happens inside your body. Since there is no key or defective key(we will discuss further) so they wont be able to open doors of your organs and glucose will not be able to get inside your organs. So eventually your organs will start falling sick ans sart functionning properly  because of lack of fuel and eventually they will stop functioning at all! .

So in diabetic state because of lack of fuel or energy eventualy all our system starts dysfunctioning Putting us at risk of various infections and various organs diseases like heart disease(silent heart attack) and blood vessel disese(PAD),  kidney(DKD) and nervous system disease (stroke  and diabetic neuropathy)and eye(diabetic retinopathy and skin diseses .

Both affactions of nerves(diabetic neuropathy and vessels (diabetic microangiopathy and PAD) will eventually lead to diabetic foot and amputation risk.
